UI Interim President John Keller; Executive Vice President and Provost Kevin Kregel; Board of Regents, State of Iowa, member Sherry A. Bates; and Dean David Johnsen will deliver messages to students. Trystan Wiedow, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, will be the student speaker. Faculty members Galen Schneider, Steven Fletcher, and Sherry Timmons will present honors and awards.
Spring 2021 commencement will be virtual, the ceremony will be livestreamed at the scheduled time. Degrees will be conferred and graduates who RSVP'd Yes will be individually recognized during the virtual commencement.

"I am forever honored for the opportunity to serve the University of Iowa College of Dentistry’s Class of 2021 as class president for the past four years, and I am immensely grateful to be selected to address the graduates, family, and friends. The individuals receiving their DDS degrees this year from the University of Iowa are the most determined, hard-working, and brilliant people I have had the privilege of working with, and they will all go on to be empathetic and skilled dentists and specialists.
