Educational Policy and Leadership Studies (Higher Education and Student
Affairs) PhD

Class of 2021

“Completing a terminal degree is hard on its own; finishing one during a pandemic is especially tough! I’m grateful for a chance to name that reality while celebrating my fellow doctoral graduates because we still made it happen!

I am ready to move forward from the University of Iowa to tackle the challenges of the 21st century because of the faculty in the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership Studies as well as the College of Education. I also have deep gratitude for my families of choice and origin who’ve supported me in this doctoral journey and before."
