Program Details

Inclusion in the commencement program is not tied to participation in a ceremony.

• All graduates are listed in the program according to the time at which they earned or are expected to earn a degree.
• Summer and fall graduate names appear in the fall program even if the student is participating in a spring ceremony.
• Applying for a degree after the degree application deadline may result in the exclusion of the graduate's name from the commencement program.
• It is highly recommended that graduates review their data restriction settings on the Student Data Restriction page in MyUI if they wish to appear in the program.

Review Your Data Restrictions

To ensure your name is not withheld because of directory restrictions:

• Visit the Student Data Restriction page in MyUI and check your responses to the following questions.
  • Do you want to remove your name and address information from the university directory? Select No.
  • Do you want to prohibit public release of academic information (major, college, class, degrees received, dates of attendance, and full/part-time status)? Select No. 
• If one or both of your answers to the questions above are marked as Yes, your name will not appear in the program.
• Your selection in the “section of information to restrict from public release” will not impact whether your name will appear in the program.
