The University of Iowa Commencement Program is a listing of degree candidates from each college, sorted by degree type. Publishing names of degree candidates in the program booklet is not a verification of completion of degree requirements.
Please Note: If you are having difficulty locating a graduate's name, open the PDF and use the search function. On Windows, press Ctrl+F, and on Mac, press Command+F. Then, type the name you are searching for.
The fall 2024 program will be available approximately two weeks prior to the first fall ceremony.
Program Details
Inclusion in the commencement program is not tied to participation in a ceremony.
- All graduates are listed in the program according to the time at which they earned or are expected to earn a degree.
- Summer and fall graduate names appear in the fall program even if the student is participating in a spring ceremony.
- Applying for a degree after the degree application deadline may result in the exclusion of the student's name from the commencement program.
MyUI Data Restrictions and Program Inclusion
- If a graduate would like their name to appear in the commencement program, No must be selected in both the University Directory field and the public release of academic information field in MyUI.
- Restricting Address and/or Phone from the Public Release field will not modify if a students name appears in the program.
- It is highly recommended that graduates check their data restriction settings on the Student Data Restriction page in MyUI if they wish to appear in the program.
