Eligibility and Criteria
Students will be able to RSVP in MyUI if:
- They have submitted a degree application for the current session or one session after the current session.
- The RSVP is open.
RSVP Timelines
- Fall ceremonies: RSVP opens in September
- Spring ceremonies: RSVP opens in February
RSVPs are not accepted after the published deadline.

I Want to Participate Early
Early participation means attending a commencement ceremony before all your degree requirements are completed. Not all colleges allow early participation.
RSVP Process for Early Participation
You will be able to RSVP in MyUI if:
- You have an active degree application on file for the current session or one session after.
- The RSVP is open.
- Your college holds a ceremony during the session you wish to attend.
My College Does Not Have a Fall Ceremony
Fall graduates whose college does not hold a fall ceremony may attend the spring ceremony.
Examples of Early and Late Participation
- Early Participation: You applied for a summer degree but plan to attend the spring ceremony.
- Late Participation: You applied for a spring degree but plan to attend the fall ceremony.
I Want to Participate Late
Late participation means attending a commencement ceremony after your degree has been conferred. Not all colleges allow late participation.

You will be able to RSVP in MyUI if:
- Your degree was conferred within the last year.
- The RSVP is open.
- Your college holds a ceremony during the session you wish to attend.
